Closing film
Leni Riefenstahl’s visual worlds are defined by triumph, now as it once was: triumph over doubt, ambivalence, alleged weakness and imperfection. In today’s context, a film about her has become urgent. Her considerable influence, reinterpreted through the lens of her private collection, offers the opportunity to explore the perpetual fascination towards imperial grandeur and the glorification of muscular, perfect and triumphant bodies – a trend that is making a comeback.
