The Film Museum of the City of Buenos Aires houses a collection of home videos, family, amateur and experimental films that are considered a valuable heritage even though they are not separately categorized. This collection comprises approximately 15 films depicting the life of a Galician society in Buenos Aires between 1920 and 1950. The largest wave of immigration from Argentina is associated with the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain, which is why these films are of incredible historical importance. This short film shows some celebrations in a country house in the northern area of the province.
This is part of the project “The Home Movies of the Film Museum: Sons of Entienza Society” that gathers, researches and aims to digitize and make public this collection of films, led by archivist Lucia Ciruelos.
