Special screenings

Following the Archivio Aperto premiere with the special screening in Bologna of Bestiari, erbari, lapidari co-directed by XVII. edition juror Massimo D’Anolfi together with Martina Parenti, the opening film of Archivio Aperto 2024 is the Italian premiere of Weightless, Sara Fgaier’s debut feature film, presented in competition at the last Locarno Film Festival, which incorporates material from over ten archives. In the closing evening, following the award ceremony, directly from the last Venice Film Festival, the monumental documentary Riefenstahl by Andres Veiel, which, starting from extraordinary previously unseen private archives, returns to the figure, work and shadows of the German director.
